The Mirage Hotel & Casino will close on July 17 to begin the property's transformation into the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Guitar Hotel Las Vegas.
Hard Rock took control of the Mirage on Dec. 19, 2022, after closing on its $1.1 billion acquisition from MGM Resorts International. The hotel has continued to operate as the Mirage since then.
Hard Rock is developing a new integrated resort featuring a nearly 700-foot guitar-shaped hotel tower, which will rise where the Mirage's volcano currently stands. The Hard Rock Las Vegas is expected to open in spring 2027.

Room reservations or show tickets beyond July 14 will be automatically canceled, including those booked through a third party. Guests who made direct bookings will be automatically refunded, and guests can expect to see their deposit returned in seven to 10 days, Hard Rock said.
If a reservation was made through an online travel agency, refunds will be made in accordance with OTA policies, Hard Rock said.
Reservations will be modified to ensure all hotel guests depart on or before July 15.
The Hard Rock Café on the Las Vegas Strip will remain open while the hotel is closed.
The 3,044-key Mirage opened in 1989 and was acquired by MGM Resorts in 2000.
