Fiji Airways "in the coming year" will adopt American Airlines' AAdvantage loyalty program, American announced Thursday, allowing "a seamless experience" between the two carriers for program members.

American noted "priority check-in, priority boarding, complimentary baggage allowance, preferred seats and enhanced award redemption" as available perks for AAdvantage members on Fiji Airways.

Fiji Airways, the national airline of Fiji, earlier this year was accepted to the Oneworld airline alliance, to which American belongs, as a full member after several years spent as an affiliate member.
