San Francisco's Hotel Stratford, which is fresh off a multimillion-dollar redesign, is joining Accor's Handwritten Collection this summer.
Built in 1910, the 94-room property is located adjacent to Union Square, along the city's Powell Street cable car line.
Updates include a refreshed lobby area with wooden paneling, marble counters, self-check-in technology, and a European-style café and bar called Nave, which will open in the coming months.
The Hotel Stratford San Francisco, Handwritten Collection will be Accor's third hotel in the city, joining the Fairmont San Francisco and Fairmont Heritage Place in Ghirardelli Square.
The hotel will also be the first in the U.S. to join the Handwritten Collection, which Accor launched last year.
