Hyatt Hotels Corp. will expand the European footprint of its JdV by Hyatt lifestyle brand through a partnership with German hospitality company Lindner Hotels AG.

Through the partnership, JdV by Hyatt will add an estimated 30 hotels and 5,500 guest rooms across seven European countries, in cities including Bratislava, Slovakia and Interlaken, Switzerland, as well as the German destinations of Kiel, Leipzig and Sylt.

According to the company, a majority of Lindner properties will transition to JdV by Hyatt and the deal "will expand Hyatt's brand footprint to 15 new markets and extend distribution in key destinations such as Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Hamburg."

Hyatt loyalty members can utilize the rewards program in the partner properties, once transitioned.

Hyatt in recent years has expanded the JdV brand, formerly Joie de Vivre, in the United States and Europe. The company acquired the brand in 2018.

While officially under the JdV by Hyatt brand umbrella, Lindner will remain "a strong brand with its own identity and corporate independence, now aided by the power of Hyatt's global brand awareness and first-class sales and marketing capabilities," Lindner CEO Arno Schwalie said in a statement.
