The new Ka Lai Waikiki Beach has opened after LXR Hotels & Resorts' reflagging from the former Trump International Hotel Waikiki. The 38-story, 462-room hotel rises above Fort DeRussy Park and offers splendid views of the Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head.
The hotel features residential-style guestrooms, a wellness facility, a 24-hour fitness center, an infinity-edge pool, event spaces and an expansive sun deck.

Part of Hilton Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts hand-selects independent, spirited luxury properties -- and this one is its first in Hawaii. "The debut of LXR Hotels & Resorts in Waikiki Beach underscores our commitment to delivering world-class hospitality in the most coveted destinations. As the inaugural property in Hawaii for LXR Hotels & Resorts, Ka Lai Waikiki Beach embodies the sophisticated and one-of-a-kind essence of our brand," said Feisal Jaffer, global head for LXR Hotels & Resorts.
In 2025, the hotel will begin phased renovation that is expected to last several months. Upgrades will be made to the guestrooms, suites lobbies, pool areas, spa and landscaping. The restaurants will also be reconceptualized.
Bookings may be made through lxrhotels.com or through the Hilton Honors app. Hilton Honors members who book directly through Hilton will receive member benefits, including free standard WiFi.
