Mattel and Epic Resort Destinations plan to open a second Mattel Adventure Park in 2026.
The new park will be located in Bonner Springs, Kansas, in the Kansas City metro area. The two companies are currently developing the first Mattel Adventure Park in Glendale, Ariz., which is scheduled to open this year.
Mattel Adventure Park Kansas City will offer attractions themed to Hot Wheels, Barbie and other brands.
"Mattel Adventure Park Kansas City will bring our iconic brands to life with epic roller coasters, family friendly attractions, an immersive theater, themed dining and so much more," Mattel chief franchise officer Josh Silverman said.
Mark Cornell, president of Epic Resort Destinations, said brands will be brought to life "through state-of-the-art technology and engaging experiences."
The park will feature two Hot Wheels-themed roller coasters -- Hot Wheels Bone Shaker: The Ultimate Ride and Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer.
At Thomas & Friends: World of Sodor, guests will find five experiential attractions designed for the whole family as well as an indoor play space for young children.
The park will also feature the Barbie Beach House with the Barbie Dream Closet Experience (an interactive retail experience), a "flying theater" and the Barbie Rooftop restaurant and bar.
He-Man vs. Skeletor Laser Tag will take place in an area designed to look like the Castle Grayskull fortress.
The park will also be home to a mini-golf course themed to classic Mattel games like Magic 8 Ball and Pictionary and a climbing structure themed to the card game Uno.
