Sustainable hospitality brand Envi Lodges will open a luxury tented camp near Arusha, Tanzania, in late 2025. Named Envi Kili, the camp will be the company's second East African property, following a recent deal to manage Envi Paje in Zanzibar.
Envi Kili will offer 20 secluded tents focused on blending luxury with immersive nature experiences. The camp will feature a restaurant using ingredients from the Envi's garden and nearby farms; a wellness center with nature-inspired treatments; a yoga deck; and a dedicated adventure concierge.
The property will also include a clubhouse with dining, entertainment, relaxation spaces and organized activities. Envi Kili will target safarigoers using Arusha as a gateway to destinations like the Serengeti National Park.
This project is a partnership between Envi Lodges, U.S. company Global Tourism Investments and its Tanzanian subsidiary, Golf Safari Resorts & Spa.
"We're excited to bring this concept to Tanzania," said Niru Patel, a founder of Golf Safari Resorts & Spa. "We believe Envi Kili will become the top choice for travelers seeking a luxury safari experience."
"Arusha needs more high-quality, sustainable lodging," said Chris Nader, co-founder of Envi Lodges. "We're partnering with the Patel family to redefine the Arusha travel experience and create a positive impact on the local community."
Envi Kili will feature ecofriendly structures with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The camp aims to benefit from Tanzania's booming tourism industry, which saw a record 1.81 million visitors in 2023.
