Singita said it is redefining its wellness offerings with the introduction of what it is calling a Wholeness concept across all 15 of its lodges in Africa. The new initiative strives to shift the wellness focus from physical health toward a more holistic approach to well-being.

The conservation company is integrating various African healing rituals into the offering at its lodges, from a hand-washing ceremony upon arrival and to the heartfelt goodbyes from the team.

Designed to immerse guests in experiences that inspire the soul and restore the body, Singita's Wholeness concept features elements from fireside choirs to therapeutic rituals. These rituals provide insights into local traditions and healing ingredients. Travelers can opt for treatments that harness local ingredients like river sand and maize meal (known as sadza) for scrubs and coffee grounds for therapies.

The Wholeness approach also extends to Singita's culinary offerings. Menus take inspiration from age-old African traditions, showcasing local flavors and cherished recipes from various regions. This culinary journey emphasizes the wholesome simplicity and sustainability of African dishes.

The Wholeness concept further underscores the importance of calming moments. Singita guides guests in breathwork, meditation, personalized yoga sessions in nature and sound therapy throughout their stay.

Singita said its new holistic approach to wellness underscores the company's commitment to not only conserving Africa's wilderness for future generations but also nourishing the body and soul of its guests during their safari stay.

"Inspired by the ancient wisdom of Africa and celebrating the profound sense of place of each of our unique lodges and camps, Singita's Wholeness journey is about grounding guests in their preferred level of mental, emotional, and physical calm," said Georgina Pennington, Singita's group head of creative direction.
