Riverside Luxury Cruises has acquired four former Crystal Cruises river ships as the newly formed company readies to debut this April.

Riverside late last year also bought Crystal's largest river ship, the Mozart.

The acquired river ships have been renamed Riverside Bach, Riverside Ravel, Riverside Mahler and Riverside Debussy.

The Ravel will sail the Rhone and Saone rivers from Burgundy to Provence. The Debussy will sail on the Rhine between Amsterdam and Switzerland.

The Bach and Mahler will begin sailing in 2024. Itineraries are expected to be announced later this year.

"We are thrilled by the expansion of our fleet to include these storied vessels," said Gregor Gerlach, founder Riverside Luxury Cruises. "This acquisition allows us to expand our itinerary offerings, showcasing a level of space, personalized service and elegance not found with any other river cruise line."

Crystal introduced the Bach and Mahler in 2017, and the Mahler and Debussy in 2018. The ships did not sail this past summer after Crystal ceased operations in January 2022.
