Crystal has entered into a memorandum of agreement with shipbuilder Fincantieri to construct two 690-passenger vessels.

The first ship is expected to be delivered in spring 2028. The second ship's timeline has not been announced. Crystal has secured an option to build a third ship with delivery in 2032.

All accommodations will be suites with private verandas, including single-occupancy rooms.

Architectural firms Studio Ibsen (led by Adriana Granato) and Studio Gem (headed by Naval Arch) have been selected to lead the design efforts, with a third firm yet to be appointed.

The interior design will feature precious marbles, Italian fabrics and natural materials, "offering a level sophistication typically reserved for high-end private residential properties," Crystal said.

The 61,800-gross-ton ships will include a promenade that extends through the perimeter, similar to the structure of the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity. The ships will feature Nobu restaurant Umi Uma and the Beefbar steakhouse. Crystal is opening the first Beefbar at sea this year.

The ships will also have a spa and fitness center.

Crystal parent A&K Travel Group said after reviving the Crystal brand last summer that it planned to build four new ships -- two expedition ships and two oceangoing ships.
