The dazzling lights of Las Vegas will have some airborne competition on July 4th.

In addition to fireworks over Caesars Palace on the southern part of Las Vegas Strip at 9 p.m., the Plaza Hotel & Casino downtown promises to have the largest July 4 fireworks show in its history, also at 9 p.m. Hotel guests age 21 and older will be able to watch the show at a viewing party on the Plaza's rooftop pool deck.

The Plaza will continue the celebration the following night with its Welcome to the Weekend Summer Friday Fireworks on July 5 at 9:15 p.m. The pyrotechnics will continue every Friday night through Labor Day weekend.

Suburban Station Casinos will have several viewing parties for their fireworks displays. Fireworks by Grucci shows are set for Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa, Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino and the new Durango Casino & Resort.

Marking the Fourth for the first time since it opened in December, Durango's Bel-Aire Backyard lawn will host a live DJ. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show will begin at 9 p.m. Tickets are $35 for guests age 12 and up $10 for guests 2 to 11 years old. Guests can enjoy craft drinks and small bites available for purchase. For more information visit Durango's website.
