Colorful hot-air balloons are among the highlights of "Higher Love," on display through Aug. 24 at Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens.
Each balloon invites visitors to feel the sense of renewal and freedom that summertime brings, according to the Bellagio horticulture team led by designer Ed Libby. Steampunk, European nostalgia, universal love and the timeless symbolism of nature's beauty were among their inspirations.
"This incredible display was created with the intention of inspiring guests to reflect on how love can lift us all up," Libby said. "We hope 'Higher Love' not only enchants our visitors, but garners feelings of growth, celebration and warmth through all of the iconic symbols associated with the splendor of the summer season."

A baroque-inspired balloon, with mirrored jewels and gold texture, is in the middle of the West Bed. Water flows down rugged mountain slopes into a pond, while a second balloon is covered in hues of red and orange and sculpted roses. Another 36-foot-tall balloon includes the iconic Bellagio "B."
There are 75,000 preserved roses and other floral elements that make up other balloons in the south and south beds; 35,000 yellow mimosa and blooming orchids on a mimosa tree; and 22,000 potted plants, shrubs and trees throughout the whole display.
Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is free and open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
